Set Apart

l have always battled with trying to fit in and be part of a group and belong. l mean who does not want to be accepted within the coolest circles, certainly not me. 

Comfort lies within knowing there is someone you can always count on 

and be content that you are not alone.

You are not alone let me assure you. 

l want to belong, l want to fit in,

l want to know someone has got my back.

Let me pull you aside for a bit, 

have you ever been called names

 by the people you have registered to be part of the group with,

have they spoken behind your back,

have you been misjudged,

have you felt alone while you were in the midst of a crowd,

Not just a crowd but the kind of crowd that you call family and friends.

l have felt like that.

l feel like that.

l Am coming to a realization that l was meant to be different,

l Am not meant to fit in,

l Am meant to stand out,

Meant to shine.

You have to understand that when those name callings, backstabbing, loneliness creep in

they were directing you to that ONE person.

The ONE that longs to hear all the detail about your life,

Sit there and tell Him all the nitty-gritty, the dry jokes, 

the love stories, the pain, you name it.
Sit there laugh and cry and after all; hand over everything to Him.

You are set apart:

" You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned?

It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.

You are the Light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.

Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lamp stand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.

Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father  in Heaven" (Mathew 5:13-16)

So, are you going to sit there and let your salt loose its flavor because you want to fit in?

Are you going to bring out the flavor and light that is within you?

See how many times "You are is clearly put"
Do not waste another second trying to be accepted

Shine your light and bring glory to His Name
