Pursued by Love
l found love,
l was in love,
l trusted every word
l believed every syllable
l held on to every word said.
At times conversation frustrated me
l stood firm, l was in love
It was all make believe painted in black and white
Who was l to deny a fairy tale?
Now, true love found me
l sit drifting away lost in thought
Oh how He loves me
Even just as l am
He knows my thoughts
Longs to be in a relationship with me.
This is all l ever longed for
He listens and speaks to me
His words are true and come to pass
He has unending love
l should confess
l don't deserve this love,
l want to take Him at His word
But l fail
l walk away from Him
Though deeply l want to run to Him
Safe in His arms
l want to stand on His unchanging word.
l want and l need!
Help me take His word
with no doubt
with no fear
How come l stumble at the true honest word
How come l fail to embrace the real LOVE
l need this love.
l say yes.

The Lord has appeared of old to me saying,
